Pass the torch

The Class of 1976 started it. Your class can take a shift.

This fund was organized by one class on purpose: to prove the model, then hand it on. A living legacy does not work if the same twenty people run it until they can’t.

We are looking for other Springfield classes willing to:

  • Sponsor a scholarship year
  • Run one fundraiser
  • Sell a class design in the shop
  • Take on a board seat or a reunion liaison role
  • Tell a younger class that this exists

You do not need to rebuild the fund. You need to pick up one piece of it.

What taking a shift looks like

One class. One season.

A class year adopts a season. You promote the shop, host one event, and help review applications — or you simply raise a set amount and let the existing volunteers handle the rest. Either version counts.

Two ways to take a shift

Hands on: promote the shop, host one event, help review applications.

Hands off: raise a set amount and let the existing volunteers handle the rest.

Springfield keeps graduating students. The fund should keep graduating volunteers.
